DEvermore Net

You can find a link to a new RPG blog for my Knights of the Old Republic game that I’ll be running in the near future. If you live in my area and would like to join this face to face RPG game, leave a comment here or send me an email.

All DEvermore Net blogs have now been updated to WordPress 2.6.1.

A new Champions RPG set in the far future of the 30th century is soon to start up in my home area. We’ll be hosting the game every other week opposite another Champions game (Hero City, click the link to see the blog of this awesome game!).

This game, called NeoGenesis, will be starring a new cast of characters! Setting info can be found on the new blog page. Check often! New material is being added on a weekly basis!

Unfortunately, the old Blojsom weblog server (built into Mac OS X Server 10.4, which is the system running all DEvermore Net sites), simply couldn’t take the pressure of all the search engines and spammers. The old blogs simply choked and died, preventing anyone from reading them at all!

So, we have now moved to a new system. This is actually a number of “systems” all running WordPress. Each blog has a separate installation. On the downside, this means that you’ll need to have a user created for each blog you wish to contribute to. On the upside, the blogs are highly customizable and offers a large number of features. WordPress is a free, but very feature-rich weblog system that runs with a fast MySQL database back-end. My hope is that this engine will respond better to web-crawling bots and keep running when the pressure steps up.

So, if you are out there looking at these blogs and you are a player in one of the games, please register on this or whichever blog you wish to contribute to, and then send me a note to update your new user to author status.

I run all this stuff out of my own pocket, but I do still have space on DEvermore Net and I’m willing to share with good people out there who want to share their games, ideas, and dreams with the world. All blogs supported here on DEvermore Net must therefore be not-for-profit. (Generally not a problem for most bloggers. )
